This notice explains how Just Litigate Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, contact us or use our services.
Who we are
Just Litigate Ltd (company no. 16120684), 40 Woodford Avenue, Gants Hill, Essex IG2 6XQ, is the controller of your personal information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC266237.

What we collect
- When you make an enquiry through our website form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp: your name, contact details, the type of help you need and anything you tell us about your situation.
- When you become a client: the information we need to help with your matter, such as identity documents, correspondence, contracts, financial information and details of other people involved. For some services, such as family matters or lasting powers of attorney, this can include sensitive information, for example about your health.
- When you visit our website: our website does not use cookies or tracking tools. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security, and our visitor counter records only a total number of visits.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your free call. We do this because you have asked us to, or because it is in our legitimate interests to answer people who contact us.
- To provide the services you ask for, under our contract with you.
- To refer you to one of our partner solicitor firms, barristers, licensed insolvency practitioners or other professionals, where you agree to the referral.
- To keep proper records, deal with complaints and meet our legal obligations.
- Sensitive information is used only where it is needed for your matter, with your explicit consent or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
- Partner solicitor firms, barristers, insolvency practitioners and financial institutions, only when you agree to a referral or ask us to involve them.
- Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email and IT providers. They may only use your information on our instructions.
- WhatsApp (operated by Meta), if you choose to contact us that way.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where the law requires it.
Some of our service providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to us working together, we keep your details for up to 12 months and then delete them. Client files are kept for 6 years after your matter ends, so we can answer questions or claims, unless you ask us to keep documents such as an original will for longer.
Keeping it safe
We use secure, password-protected systems and limit access to the people who need it to help you.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to transfer it to you or someone else, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
